Loan for Vocational education and training courses:
Vocational courses are those which train students for employment in fields that are manual or practical in nature. These are traditionally non-academic courses and often relate totally to a particular trade or occupation. They are also known as technical or professional Course and Training  as the student is directly developing expertise in a specific vocation, technology or series of procedures in courses like ,Animation and Multimedia, Film Making and Video Editing,  Photography  and cinematography, Graphics Designing and web designing,  media and journalism after 12th Pass out Student in Chandigarh and Punjab.

These loans are specifically designed to help the students pursuing higher studies to opt for the career of their choice without having to curtail their dreams due to lack of funds. Our country has realized the importance of education in empowering the nation’s future and therefore the government has mandated both public and private sector banks to provide a scheme for education loans to needy and deserving students. The Model Educational Loan Scheme for Vocational Courses aims at providing financial support from the banking system to those who, have the minimum educational qualification, as required by the institution / organization running the course eligible under the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

Student Eligibility

  • The student should be an Indian National
  • Have secured admission in a course run or supported by a Ministry / Dept./ Organisation of the Govt. or a company / society / organization supported by National Skill Development Corporation or State Skill Missions / State Skill Corporations, preferably leading to a certificate / diploma / degree, etc. issued by a Govt. organization or an organization recognized / authorized by the Govt. to do so

Expenses considered for loan

  • Tuition / course fee .
  • Examination / Library / Laboratory fee
  • Caution deposit
  • Purchase of books, equipments and instruments
  • Any other reasonable expenditure found necessary for completion of the course. (As such courses are localized boarding, lodging may not be necessary. However, wherever it has been found necessary, the same could be considered on merits)
